About Us
We purchased the land on the 15th June 2000 for the purpose of establishing a vineyard. An EM-38 soil survey was conducted on the site in July of 2001. The EM-38 survey measures the apparent electrical conductivity of the soil profile to depth of 1.5 metres. Based on the soil report we spread 20 t/h of lime and gypsum to improve the soil pH and chemistry. In addition we spread 75 t/h of mushroom compost to improve the level of organic matter. Prior to installing the trellis the ground was slashed, agroplowed to 50cm twice to incorporate the above additions and harrowed to mound the soil in the planting area.
